This standard applies to a sealing compound of rubber and asphalt with added mineral or organic fibre, mineral stabilizers and solvents, suitable for application by gun or trowel for use as a joint or lap sealer.
Intended Uses -- This compound is suitable for use as a joint sealer or lap sealer between structural units such as roof deck units, between sheets of metal decking or siding, and between roofing felts and other roofing components such as flashings. To facilitate handling in cold weather the product should be warmed by suitable means to a temperature not in excess of 38°C. Warning: Never use a fire or open flame.
